Del Sol was a proud sponsor and donor this past week to Spectrum Academy’s annual 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk, 5K and/or 10K, all of which supported further education of students with Autism Spectrum Disorders. The races were all-ages events that started and ended at the school in North Salt Lake City, Utah.
For the second year now, Del Sol was able to donate hundreds of color-changing bags to the runners and product giveaways for race winners.
Winners also took home a Thanksgiving turkey! Spectrum Academy definitely emphasized the ‘FUN’ in the 1-Mile Fun Run/Walk by encouraging participants to race by whatever means of locomotion they chose, including running, walking, biking, skating, scooting, etc. A prize went to the most creative contestant.
Thanks to all the sponsors and individual fundraisers, Spectrum was able to surpass its $20,000 fundraising goal.
